Established in 1996, Awsaj Academy, formerly known as The Learning Center, is a specialist school serving students with learning challenges in grades K-12.
Awsaj Academy is a non-profit organization accredited by two internationally renowned accrediting agencies: the Council of International Schools (CIS), (www.cois.org), and the Middle States Association (MSA), (www.middlestates.org), both of which are recognized by the Supreme Education Council (SEC).
Awsaj Academy is the only school of its kind in Qatar, and one of only a handful worldwide dedicated to working with students who have demonstrated aptitude in certain areas while facing academic challenges in others.
Our highly qualified teachers use evidence-based instructional practices to meet the individual needs of students. To ensure an optimal learning environment, students are taught in small classrooms of no more than 10 students per class.
Teaching is in English, and the curriculum includes Math, English, Science, Arabic, Islamic Studies, Qatar National History, Art, IT, and Physical Education.
